BLAKE to perform at London Olympic Stadium

With an expected audience of over 20,000 people, Brit-Award-Winners Blake will join rising soul star Dionne Bromfield (God-daughter & protege of Amy Winehouse) and urban sensation Angel, as the first group to sing at the London Olympic Stadium. Raising funds for the ‘Gold Challenge’ Olympic sports charity, the boys are extremely honored and proud…

….to be performing at this event on April 1st 2012. Stephen Bowman from Blake commented “We’ve been singing patriotic British songs as a band for more than five years now, to sing at the Olympic Stadium is going to be something we tell our grand children about; to be raising funds for so many great charities makes the experience even more special”

Blake have sung at many historic sporting events, including the opening of  the Rugby World Cup in 2007, the opening of Wimbledon in 2010, two Charity Shield finals at Wembley Stadium in 2007 and 2011, The Melbourne Cup in Australia in 2009, The World Polo Tournament in London in 2010  and over ten appearances at the 75,000 seat Twickenham Stadium.

For more information on the event and the opportunity to book tickets, please head to www.goldchallenge.org  – the event raises funds for NSPCC children’s charity, OXFAM, Cancer Research UK, Scope, British Red Cross and many more.

Fantastic news – we had given up thinking they would ever be sent to the venues they deserve – England should be the proudest country on the planet to have them as such an outstanding group. NO ONE WILL EVER REACH SUCH A CLASSY LEVEL – and their humour goes with their appearance – BRILLIANT!

Are all the men Brit-born. I was sure one sounded like he was from Canada, originally. I like their music. First time I’ve heard it. If clothes make the man, some of them are really sexy.
Anyway, fellas, congrats. from Canada from a British expatriate.

Have recently seen Blake for the 2nd time at Aldershot, (1st time was Worthing) and we now have tickets for shows in Haywards Heath and Horsham. Quite simply you are brilliant. Can you please include Abide with Me at Horsham when we will be bringing a couple of friends and this hymn means so much to all of us.

Saw your show at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury last night – I was also there last year when you came to Shrewsbury. What a fabulous time we had – loved every song and loved all four of you – we couldn’t decide who we liked best as you’re all so good looking and funny! Do hope you’ll come back next year. We’ll be the first in the queue.
